Township of Front of Yonge
This township boasts kilometres of scenic waterfront property and the famous 1000 Islands Parkway. Front of Yonge is mainly rural with Mallorytown its largest centre. The Thousand Islands National Park of Canada riverfront park at Mallorytown Landing was stablished in 1904. It is the first national park named east of the Canadian Rockies. The park includes more than 20 public islands equipped with docks, trails, shelters and camping facilities.
There are numerous campgrounds and attractions such as Brown's Bay Day Park overlooking the St. Lawrence River and the Skywood Eco Adventure Park. Don't miss the Mallorytown Coach House and Heritage Garden, the 1000 Islands Parkway bike path, part of the Ontario Waterfront Trail, and the Road of Remembrance Site on County Road 5.
