Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB)
Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) is one of the largest public school boards geographically in Ontario covering 12,000 square kilometres. Upper Canada's area includes the counties of Lanark, Leeds, Grenville, Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Prescott and Russell. Approximately 4,200 people work for the school board. Throughout Leeds Grenville, it employs approximately 1,410 people in its schools, education centres and at its central administration offices. Among some of its services are full-day, every day kindergarten and board-wide French immersion programming. Upper Canada has a Champion for Kids Foundation to help children in need. The foundation raises money to help students enroll in extra-curricular activities and sports. The board office is located at 225 Central Ave. Brockville, Ontario.
Brockville General Hospital (BGH)
Brockville General Hospital has been serving the residents of Leeds Grenville since 1885. In its 130-year history, the hospital has consistently adjusted to meet the needs of its community. The BGH Charles Street Site offers full acute care services, including emergency and intensive care, medical, surgical and obstetrical care. Various ambulatory services are also available, along with day surgery, ECG, stress testing, radiology, ultrasound and an Ontario Breast Screening Clinic. The BGH Garden Street Site specializes in complex and palliative care and rehabilitation. In addition to these, BGH sponsors the Assault Response and Care Centre. The Mental Health Crisis Team of the Royal Ottawa Hospital has offices at BGH and provides support to both the emergency department and inpatient services. BGH is one of Leeds Grenville's top employers providing 857 jobs in the community. It relies on the additional support of 126 physicians and more than 300 volunteers. The Brockville and District Hospital Foundation raises funds to provide ongoing special services.

3M Canada Company
3M Canada Company has a large presence in Brockville, with four facilities dominating the landscape in the John Broome Industrial Park, including one being constructed and becoming operational in early 2021 to produce N95 masks. The company originally purchased a 132,500-square-foot building on 11 acres. It then established a new pressure-sensitive tape plant in 1994. In 1998, 3M expanded and built the Occupational Health and Environmental Safety Facility. The local sites produce a variety of products that are recognized around the world. About 485 people work at the sites located on California Avenue.
Cardinal Health
Products made by Cardinal Health range from recording charts for medical and industrial instrumentation to thermal sensitive papers for thermal printers and electrocardiograph electrodes and medical disposables. They also produce blankbooks, surgical and medical instruments and apparatus, professional equipment and supplies. Cardinal Health has annual sales of between $20 to $50 million. Located in the Town of Gananoque, Cardinal Health employs approximately 450 people from the region.
United Counties of Leeds and Grenville
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, in partnership with its municipalities and townships, provide a wide variety of services to the public. These services include county roads maintenance, Paramedic Service, Integrated Program Delivery, Ontario Early Years Centres and community housing, to name a few. The main administrative office is located on 25 Central Avenue in Brockville. There are a total of 35 workplace locations spread across Leeds Grenville, including the Economic Development Office on Wall Street in downtown Brockville. Two major attractions are the Limerick Forest, Leeds and Grenville's community forest, and the Sand Bay County Park with its nature trails at Charleston Lake. The United Counties employ 436 people.

This powerhouse egg company began modestly in 1893 when Scottish immigrant Joseph Hudson started with a small farm operation. More than a century later, Burnbrae Farms has proven itself as a leader with its award-winning new product innovation. Presently, Burnbrae Farms is a thriving participant in Canadian agribusiness, selling eggs and egg products to many of the major grocery chains, food service operations and large bakery customers throughout Canada and the United States. It continues to be privately owned and operated by the Hudson family and employs approximately 400 people. It has locations in both the Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley and the City of Brockville.
Kriska Transportation
Started in 1978, the Kriska Group of Companies is a privately-held, family-owned Canadian corporation. Its head office is situated between Montreal and Toronto just off Highway 401 in Prescott, minutes away from two international bridges. Its terminal locations provide convenient links to Mississauga and London with drop yards in Ingleside and Montreal. Its core specialty is centred on specialized Transborder Service to serve Canadian/U.S. freight distribution opportunities and its Kriska Corridor asset-based truckload service operating between Ontario and Quebec. Its Interline Logistics Service, partnering only with Kriska qualified carriers, takes truckloads to all points in North America. The company also operates over 300,00-square-feet of warehousing and temperature-controlled services for food grade customers.

This supports Giant Tiger’s initiative of safe and efficient movement of goods across the central and eastern provinces with hubs in Johnstown, Ontario and Moncton, New Brunswick.
Walmart (Brockville)
This large Super centre at 1942 Parkedale Avenue includes a pharmacy, photo centre and grocery, and McDonald's. Wal-Mart Super centre Brockville, part of a north-end power centre, employs approximately 290 people in both full- and part-time positions.
Trillium Health Care Products Inc.
Trillium Health Care Products is a premier contract manufacturer of category-leading, over-the-counter drugs for many of the world's top pharmaceutical companies. Operating out of a US FDA and Health Canada approved 210,000-square-foot plant in Brockville, Trillium has built a reputation in the pharmaceutical industry for its focus on quality and technical expertise while producing a diverse portfolio of drug products. The experienced staff of 280 has provided full service, turn-key solutions for its customers for over 20 years.
St. Lawrence Lodge
Originally opened in 1970, St. Lawrence Lodge was modernized in 2006 into the contemporary 224-bed municipally owned Long Term Care Home that it is today. The lodge operates partnership with the City of Brockville, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, the Town of Prescott, the Town of Gananoque and in conjunction with the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the South East Local Health Integrated Network (SE LHIN). St. Lawrence Lodge is located on eastern boundary of the 1000 Islands and City of Brockville and graces the shores of the famed and historic St. Lawrence River. City of Brockville
Brockville has a substantial industrial base and is recognized as a hub for transportation, warehousing and logistics companies. It offers amenities of a much larger urban centre, including the Brockville Arts Centre, the Brockville Museum, the John Broome Industrial Park and full water and sewer services. The city operates several sporting venues and parks. A crown jewel is St. Lawrence Park overlooking the St. Lawrence River. Northern Cables Inc.
The "Armoured Cable Specialists." Northern Cables is a world-class manufacturer of commercial and industrial power cables. They operate three manufacturing facilities and six distribution centres to service customers throughout North American. Raw materials used in the manufacture of their cables are sourced in North America. For security, facilities are Customs - Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) approved by the Canadian Border Services and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Northern Cables produces copper and aluminum cables to CSA and UL Standards for the North American market. The company markets its products and services exclusively through Wholesale Wire and Electrical Distribution. The company also has a location in Prescott.
Ingredion Canada Incorporated
Ingredion Canada Inc. (formerly Casco Inc.) is one of Canada's principal producers and suppliers of high-quality food ingredients and industrial products. The corn products facility in Cardinal operates using a regional approach, relying on the expertise of local sales, marketing and product development. The company's global product development and systems operations ensure that new product ideas, systems, and operational expertise can be shared around the world. Ingredion is home to approximately 250 employees at its Cardinal site. The company was first founded in 1858.
Prysmian Group
Prysmian Power Cables and Systems Canada Ltd. is located at 137 Commerce Drive in the Township of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal industrial park. The company offers a variety of cables and systems for the commercial and industrial and utility sectors. Prysmian North America is a leading supplier of energy transmission and distribution cable. Approximately 200 people are employed at the local facility near Johnstown.
Canarm Ltd.
Canarm Ltd. is a global marketer and manufacturer of lighting, air moving and related products. In recent months, the Brockville-based company had 193 employees. Another expansion of the company's Parkedale Avenue facility was recently completed and the company was hiring. Canarm has five satellite manufacturing plants in Ontario, one in Illinois and a distribution centre in Montreal. Canarm also has 14 manufacturing sites and a showroom in China. Canarm Ltd. was created in 1980 by a merger of Danor and Canadian Armature Works. CEO David Beatty and President James Cooper say the company's philosophy is to give back to the communities where their facilities are located.
Shorelines Casino 1000 Islands
Shorelines Casino is open 24 hours a day. The casino is located on the border of Gananoque in the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands. There are over 500 slot machines with favourites such as Wheel of Fortune and monopoly, numerous gaming tables offering Texas Hold-em, Blackjack and Let it Ride and roulette. Other features of this multi-million dollar facility include a glass wall and two murals of the Thousand Islands in the facility's restaurant. There are numerous group and hotel packages available. The casino employs approximately 140 people.
