Volunteer Management - Best Practices

Hosted by RTO 9, North Grenville Tourism and CSE Consulting and speaker Carey McMaster will provide a hands-on learning day in Kemptville.

Quality volunteer managers are essential for any not-for-profit organization or event committee. In this workshop you will learn to recruit, track, engage and retain valuable people by crafting a plan that includes an effective system for managing volunteers.

The instructor for the session will cover:

  1. Laying the Foundation
  2. Developing the Jobs and Getting the Right People
  3. Creating an Environment Where Volunteers Feel They Belong, Are Needed, and Want to Stay

By the end of the workshop participants will have the skills to Develop Policies and Procedures, Create a Volunteer Recruitment Strategy, Construct an Orientation and Training Plan, Supervise Volunteers and Provide Effective Feedback; and Strengthen Communications and Build Relationships

Participants attending this workshop (both in-person and online that day) will receive a certificate for the successful completion of the course.

**The WSIB is offering increased financial rebates to smaller businesses (1-99 employees) through the Health and Safety Excellence program to help support post-pandemic recovery. ** Join in as a review of how joining the WSIB’s Health and Safety Excellence program can help offset costs of implementing new health and safety topics in your workplace and how to calculate your potential double rebate for 2023.

This webinar will focus on the various health and safety needs of small-medium businesses in Ontario.
