In this 3-part seminar series, presented by Jennifer Baker, learn all about Canva - a graphic design platform used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content.

  • Jan. 13 - Introduction to Canva: The Basics
    Learn the basics of setting up an efficient and effective account, develop a personalize brand kit, folders and customizing social media content (fonts, colours, images) for use on Facebook, Instagram, and Stories.
  • Jan. 20 - Getting the Most out of Canva: Making Custom, Beautiful Graphics
    This session will guide users through creation of custom graphics and images for use on Facebook, Instagram and Stories.  Learn how to efficiently search for images - and how to customize images through effects, filters, frames and cropping.  Adding and customizing Canva 'elements' will also be discussed.
  • Jan. 27 - Adding Movement to Social Media with Videos from Canva
    Video is important, but doesn't have to be complicated!  This session will guide you through creation of custom graphics and images that use animated elements/gifs, and stock video footage for use on Facebook, Instagram, and Stories.  Learn how to efficiently search for videos and how to customize images through frames and cropping - and help your business stand out on social media.

Online Business Plan and Cash Flow Bootcamp

The online business plan bootcamp is a guided approach to completing a business plan and takes approximately 10 hours to complete, in total. The Leeds Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre will provide you with access to this online tool that will guide you to create your very own business plan and 2 year cash flow. Included with the online tool is one hour of consulting from Karen McDonald-Hurley of Opportunity Group and support from the LGSBEC team.

This product has a $1100.00 value and is free if business plan is completed by agreed upon time frame.
